Volunteer Opportunities with TELL

Looking for ways to give back to your community? Whether you can give a few hours of your time or commit to much more, there are many exciting ways you can give your time and expertise to benefit TELL - an organization which has supported the foreign community in Tokyo for more than 30 years. By joining the TELL team, you are doing good for others, as well as for yourself, your job, your business, and your everyday life.

Volunteer for the TELL Life Line
Thousands of times each year, people pick up a phone and call Tokyo English Life Line. Some need information, some are lonely, angry, or upset, and a few are suicidal or in other kinds of crises. But all need someone to pick up the phone and listen - actively.

TELL offers 12-week training programs every Spring and Fall, to help build those special skills needed to listen and provide support.

Volunteer for Fundraising Events & Committees
Volunteers are also needed to carry out many of the other functions and tasks at TELL. Anyone with a willingness to help and be part of a team is welcome! Annual fundraising events such as the Connoisseurs Auction and TELL Runathon need volunteers with a wide variety of skills. Other committees comprised of volunteers include the Corporate Council, the Handbook Committee, the External Communication Committee and IT Committees. These all provide great opportunities for sharpening your skills and adding experience to your resume. Check out our latest volunteer opportunities!
