Is TELL Lifeline anonymous?
TELL Lifeline is completely anonymous. We won’t ask your name or ask for any information you don’t wish to share.
Can kids call TELL Lifeline too?
Kids are welcome to call TELL Lifeline. Whatever the trouble is, no one will judge you or ask you personal questions.
Can TELL Lifeline call me back?
Sorry, we can’t call you back or call a third party on your behalf.
Can I only speak English on TELL Lifeline?
TELL Lifeline is an English language service. If your English isn’t good, we can give you contact information for telephone counseling in other languages.
Can TELL Lifeline call somewhere for me?
We can help you find a number, but we can’t call on your behalf.
What information resources does TELL Lifeline have?
We try to keep up-to-date information on a wide range of services including; emergency, counseling, medical, legal, business, daily life, transportation, education, government, social and public services.
How can I contact you from outside Tokyo?
If you are outside Tokyo dial, 03-5774-0992. If you are outside Japan dial, (81)-3-5774-0992.
How do I make an appointment for face to face counseling?
Please call our Clinical Services Coordinator at 03-4550-1146 (English) or 03-4550-1147 (日本語), Monday to Friday 10am till 6pm.
What are the office hours for TELL Counseling?
To make appointments, TELL Counseling is open Monday to Friday from 10am til 6pm. Outside of these hours we have an answer machine. Counseling is available Monday to Saturday from 9am til 8pm, depending on counselor availability.
What languages do you do face to face counseling in?
We are able to provide counseling in English, Japanese, German, French, and Spanish.

What is the cancellation policy for the face to face counseling service?
We require 24 hours notice for a cancellation, otherwise the full fee will be charged.
How can I cancel a counseling appointment?
Please call TELL Counseling at 03-4550-1146 to cancel an appointment. If your call is not answered, please leave a message regarding the cancellation.
I only get the answer machine at the counseling center, what can I do?
Please leave a message if you cannot get through. If you leave a message before 5pm on a weekday, we will endeavour to return your call on the same day. If you leave a message after 5pm on a weekday, weekend or holiday, we will return your call the next business day.
How much does face to face counseling cost?
We provide counseling on a flexible sliding fee scale. The fee is calculated based on your monthly income. Please click on the link below for further details.
